KAI indexes footage, builds stories through prompts, and sends selects and structures straight
into the edit timeline—now from inside Adobe Premiere.
Barcelona, Spain – April 17, 2026 – Amplify and Gestmusic today announced they will
showcase KAI at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, bringing a new, AI-powered storytelling
workflow to high-volume entertainment production and post-production teams.
KAI streamlines how teams turn raw audiovisual material into finished stories by connecting
content indexing, story creation, and editing into a single narrative workflow—reducing time
spent searching, logging, and rebuilding structures from scratch.
At NAB Show 2026, Amplify will highlight one of KAI’s key developments: a fully functional
extension panel integrated directly into Premiere, designed to keep editors in the flow and
significantly enhance the user experience.
An AI-powered storytelling experience
KAI’s most visible innovation is a fully integrated extension panel for Premiere that brings
AI-assisted storytelling into the editor’s daily workspace. Rather than jumping between
tools, users can stay in Premiere and use KAI to move from “raw footage” to an edit-ready
structure faster.
Through the panel, editors and producers can:
- Search and navigate footage in context using AI-generated structure (moments, topics, beats) without leaving the NLE.
- Generate story options on demand with natural-language prompts (summaries, story angles, character-led cuts) and refine them instantly.
- Turn ideas into an edit by sending selects and story structures directly into the timeline—starting closer to a first cut and spending more time on craft.
Gestmusic stands as a key advocate for the value of this technology in entertainment formats,
where speed, volume, and collaboration are essential to daily production workflows.
What KAI solves
Entertainment production workflows are often fragmented: logging happens outside the
edit, story decisions live in documents or chats, and editors spend hours rebuilding structure
manually from notes and timecodes. That disconnect creates rework, delays and
misalignment between editorial, story and post.
KAI addresses this by connecting three stages into a single narrative workflow—from
understanding footage to delivering a cut:
- Footage understanding at scale: Automatically indexes large volumes of content into searchable, reusable story elements, reducing manual review and making key moments easier to find and share.
- Earlier alignment across teams: Gives story, editorial and post a shared space to explore angles and agree on narrative direction sooner—reducing iteration loops late in post.
- Faster delivery with less rework: Converts approved story structures into edit-ready builds for the NLE, shortening the path from decisions to deliverables and improving consistency across versions.
A European collaboration driving innovation
KAI has been jointly developed by Gestmusic and Amplify within a European innovation
project supported by EIT Culture & Creativity, with research collaboration from Fraunhofer
IPK. The solution also incorporates an advanced artificial intelligence analysis core developed
by Ugiat Technologies, S.L., strengthening KAI’s technical foundation.
“Being fully aware of the growing creative and operational challenges faced by productions
working with large volumes of content, this project has been supported by EIT Culture &
Creativity to help make KAI a reality,” said Miquel Garcia, Head of Postproduction at
Gestmusic. “By combining Gestmusic’s deep knowledge of storytelling with advanced AI
capabilities, we are launching a tool that empowers creative teams while fully respecting the
human nature of the creative process.”
Aaron Lopez, CEO at Amplify, added: “We are extremely proud of our partners involved in
this project and of the innovative scope of KAI. It represents a major step forward in making
AI genuinely useful for content creators. KAI doesn’t replace creativity, it amplifies it, turning
raw footage into an intelligent, conversational asset that works at the pace of modern
production.”

Commercially, KAI is designed for the realities of high-volume productions: licenses and
subscriptions can be tailored to production cycles, adapting to each project’s duration,
intensity, and workflow logic rather than forcing one-size-fits-all software plans.
KAI will be demonstrated at NAB Show 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To book a
